    DTLA Summer Hideouts

    June 22, 2017

Blonde mom and toddler girl bite into opposite ends of an ice cream cone

With DTLA Summer now in full swing, searching for ways to beat the heat has become almost instinctive for us. Luckily, there are countless unique nooks, local AC-equipped hideouts and cool corners for us to escape to during these sun-kissed Summer months to aid in that.

    Gresescent Ice Cream

Forget flowers. Gresescent Ice Cream offers up bouquets of ice cream scoops. Indulge in artisan ingredients that are both different, yet familiar. This neighborhood gem is just a minute’s walk from your Atelier from door. Your taste buds (and your Instagram) will be so thankful you went.

    [The Broad](

It’s no doubt that the warmer months lead to more time spent indoors. We’d much prefer spending this time in rooms surrounded by eye candy and art. The Broad will provide you with just that. Lose track of the afternoon’s peak sun hours, and allow yourself to get inspired inside.

    Hermanos Coffee at The Standard

Any excuse we have to pop into The Standard, we’ll take. Cool off with a rich iced cold brew and take in the even cooler mid-century vibes around the lobby. We also highly encourage wandering up to the rooftop beer garden to take shade.

    Shoo Shoo, Baby

Craving a cool beverage with a bit more of a kick? Shoo Shoo, Baby gives off serious 1940s vibes with cocktails to match. Hide away in this refreshingly unique atmosphere, and sip to your hearts content.
